WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Ruben J. Kihuen today announced that his district has received more than $100,000 from the National Park Service’s Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) to develop restroom and parking facilities at the White Domes trailhead in Valley of Fire State Park.

“This is exciting news for residents of Nevada’s 4th Congressional District that will help improve our public lands and make them more enjoyable for local and out-of-state visitors alike. The windswept gorges at the Valley of Fire State Park are a wonderful part of Nevada’s natural beauty, and protecting these treasures is one of my top priorities in Congress. These public lands are critically important to our economy, accounting for $14.9 billion in consumer spending. Their preservation and protection helps ensure a strong and bright future for our state.”
