WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Today, Rep. Ruben J. Kihuen issued the statement below following President Trump’s decision to remove the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement:

“President Trump’s reckless decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement will be viewed in the future as one of the most reprehensible actions by this Administration. Instead of listening to a handful of right-wing ideologues, President Trump should be listening to business leaders, scientists, and the majority of Americans who support this historic agreement. Now is not the time for America to be stepping away from our leadership role on the world stage, especially when it comes to the future of the planet.”
